PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Phoenix 300 is one of the most exciting and technologically advanced buggies to come along in years! What is even more exciting for us is that we were instrumental in bringing this "awesome buggy" into existence. David personally went to a factory in China and collaborated with their engineers in the design of this vehicle.

Another advantage to the Phoenix 300 is the hybrid chain/shaft drivetrain. The output of the transmission is a chain and sprocket system that drives a small frame-mounted shaft. This small shaft in turn drives the half-shaft axles that drive the rear wheels.

Why is this advantageous? The first reason is that it easily permits the changing of final drive gear ratios by changing the size of the sprockets, like a chain drive buggy, yet it provides the durability and reliability of a shaft drive system. The second reason--related to the first--is that the chain and sprockets used are standard over-the-counter parts available at any motorcycle parts department, so aftermarket sizes are readily available at reasonable costs.

The Phoenix 300 dune buggy also features a sophisticated front suspension system quite similar to those found on serious full-sized dune buggies and off-road vehicles costing thousands of dollars more.

Add the larger tires and polished aluminum wheels from our Hurricane Series and you have one serious off-road go kart!

The only downside to this buggy is that its interior size and legroom are virtually identical to our Magnum Series buggies, so the tall and/or horizontally challenged will want to consider other members of our product line.

There you will find our unique visual assembly guides that portray with detailed photographs (and, as time permits, web video) detailing the step-by-step process of taking a buggy out of the crate and making it ready to drive. As of this time, we have assembly guides for several buggies, as well as one showing how to install our high-performance GY6 intake and exhaust system kit on a Magnum 150 buggy.

The second one is to call us and one of our technicians will be happy to assist you with your problem. Beware of buggy dealers who claim that they have "certified technicians" because, when it comes to these types of vehicles, no such certifications exist! Our technical folks who take your calls get their hands dirty working on these machines daily and know them inside and out, so you can be confident that you can and will get the assistance you need.

Before we add any buggy to our product list, we take it out to our "secret Arizona desert test site" and simply run the whee out of it! We climb hills, crawl rocks, descend cliffs, and jump the buggies 6+ feet into the air, all for the purpose of finding their performance limitations and literally trying to break them to determine their weak points. We also test for reliability and comfort.
